Wind Power in the USA

Wind power is a useful source of energy and it's when it depends on wind to produce a power by using the wind turbines.

Wind power is a very clean source which mostly depends on wind to clean and reduce the greenhouse gases. Also it's a growing industry and I think that it will be helpful source for the USA in the Future.

In 2008 the wind power became only 1% of the U.S electricity. Also the capacity were 18,302 MW which is enough to serve 4.9 million households. In addition the most states that insallted wind power is Texas, Follwing state is california.

there are some disadvantages of the wind power in the US. First disadvantage is that the turbines dosn't always blows when there is need for electricity and sometimes the areas are changeable where somtimes electricty are needed. Another disadvantge is that the turbines make some noises from the rotor baldes and might damage without knowing the reson.

also there are adavtages for wind power in the US. first advantage is that it's a clean source and doesn't pollete the air like other power plant. Another advantage is that it's one of the lowest price energy source so you can get it for 4-6 cent for the kilowatt-hour. Also - Wind power can be built on farms in some rural areas were we could find the best wind sites.
